Alissa White Gluz, from the country of Canadian, is best known as lead singer for the Swedish melodic-death metal band Arch Enemy. Alissa also served as lead vocalist with the Canadian metalcore act The Agonist. She uses the clean as well as growling voice. The Agonist are most well-known because of Vicky Psarakis' ability to utilize both clean and metal growls, and Danny Marino's use of two or more intersecting melodies as well as unorthodox chords that typically feature large intervals as well as the displacement of octaves. On March 17, 2014, the band announced that Gossow was leaving as Arch Enemy vocalist to pursue different interests, and to spend more spending time with family. Gossow chose Alissa white-Gluz who is a part of the Canadian metal group The Agonist to replace her. The band will keep her as the band's business manager The Agonist.
