Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
