Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on 5 August for the third season. Chen Moonves has been a part of The Talk since 2010, where she was the host and the moderator. However, her true passion came when she added writing to her roles and earned an Emmy for her work. Also, she won an Emmy award for outstanding hosting of a talk show. She co-hosted the CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and hosts of The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11 She was taken to Cairo and located the main hijacker's father for a riveting and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has featured stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton, Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliate news channel (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while she was finishing her final year in college from the University of Southern California. In her desk-assistant role for ABC News late night broadcast Nightline she was a part of the team that worked with Ted Koppel. He remains among her top journalists. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont documentary Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
